This morning I was talking to a friend who was feeling bad that she hadn’t cleaned her house in two weeks. She was talking about how she normally does it twice a week, and that it takes her a whole day to do properly. I smiled to myself, and thought about the intense cleaning I gave my home the other day;
I really got stuck in and vacuumed out my whole home. I took out my bed, and all my belongings, including my camp chair, and shoes, and vacuumed all the rugs, and under the front seats. I even vacuumed out the area where the spare tire goes, because somehow tons of dirt, twigs and leaves, manage to fall in there. I also cleaned all my windows, and even cleaned my toilet (plastic storage container with a lid) with non-chlorine bleach. The dashboard, ice chest, instrument panel, doors, and inside the door jams were all wiped down also. It didn’t take too long, so I decided what the heck, may as well continue. So I also washed all my shoes, and emptied my backpack and gave it a good scrubbing too.
I have to admit, it felt good to crawl into a nice clean vehicle last night, and after three nights of sleeping in a real bed in a house, it even felt good to be home.
Until next time…
